On June 25-28 Rick Carr, Brad Millar and Kurt Benninger competed at the Canadian Track and Field Championships and World Trials at the John L. Davenport Track in Toronto. Rick Carr won gold in the T11 Championship 100m dash (12.88s) coming back just one year after sustaining a serious injury while racing at the Canadian Olympic Trials.Brad Millar took bronze in the men’s hammer throw with a furthest toss of 61.04m and he is now being considered to represent Canada at the Francophone Games in September in Lebanon. Kurt Benninger finished 7th in the men’s 1500m final (3:52.66) while battling illness.
