
AO Senior Championships and Canada Summer Games Trials (07/03-05/09)
STFC athletes competed at the AO Senior Championships and Canada Summer Games Trials at the University of Windsor from July 3rd to 5th. Many great performances were recorded.
Brad Millar of Port Elgin won the gold medal in the senior men’s hammer with a throw of 57.35m and has officially been selected to the Ontario Team which will be competing at the Canada Summer Games in Charlottetown, PEI in August (22-29).
Along with Millar’s gold, other top ten finishes for STFC athletes at the Senior Championships included:
Rita Rudell High Jump 1.63m (5th)
Jordan Collison 3000m s/c 9:47.71 (7th)
Brad Millar ..Discus Throw 41.99m (10th)
Ford Thompson .5000m 16:24.43 (10th)
Along with the Senior Championships, a non-championship youth division was opened up for competition where many more great performances were posted by STFC athletes.
