MTA Championships

The Minor Track Association Championships took place on Saturday July 17, 2010 in Mississauga and many young members of the Saugeen Track and Field Club posted some fantastic results. READ ONSam Nusselder was a triple medalist in the atom boy’s division winning three bronze medals in the long jump (4.60m), triple jump (8.87m), and 800m (2:31.27).  Lilly Starling was another multiple medalist achieving a gold medal in the atom girl’s discus event (27.32m), paired with a silver medal in the atom girl’s shot put (8.23m).  Other medalists include Kaitlyn Maskell, who won the atom girl’s high jump event with a jump of 1.34m.  Silver medals were won by Tony Elliot in the atom boy’s Javelin (22.95m) and Harrison Williams in the senior boy’s javelin (32.60m).  The STFC atom boy’s 4x100m relay team sprinted to a bronze medal, while other bronze medals were attained by Jessica Dales in the atom girl’s discus throw (15.25m) and Alex Morrow in the senior girl’s long jump event (4.68m).  Congratulations to all the STFC athletes that competed!
