*PERSONAL BESTS*
A significant portion of the Junior Club members
go on to join the Senior Club, usually at age 13. The focus
of the program is event specialization, goal setting, and
dedication to sport. The Senior Program also continues to
focus on sportsmanship, a healthy attitude towards competition,
personal best efforts and supporting teammates.
*A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE*
The Saugeen Track Club encourages
a healthy lifestyle and provides an environment free of alcohol,
tobacco and drugs. Coaches reinforce the importance of obtaining
a balance between academics, athletics and social time.
*MUTUAL SUPPORT*
Throughout all stages of the
club, athletes can count on support from their coaches and
fellow athletes. The club provides an environment in which
everyone is accepted and encouraged. Since success is measured
by personal improvement, each athlete is recognized for his
or her accomplishments.
*DREAMS AND DEDICATION*
The
club provides a place for both recreational and elite athletes
to train together, and our athletes are successful on a variety
of levels, from personal fitness goals to the National and
Olympic levels. They also apply the dedication, determination
and goal-setting skills they’ve learned through athletics
to succeed in other areas of life. The Saugeen Track Club is
a life experience which produces great athletes and well-rounded
individuals.
