Cross Country Running Program
The 2008 Program will start on Tuesday September 9th at 6:30 PM
.
The Junior Cross Country Program is ran at The Saugeen Valley
Conservation Area near Paisley.
The sessions run for an hour on Tuesday and Thursdays evenings.
This program is for young athletes 9 – 12 years of age .
The registration fee ($110,00) includes the following:
- Registration with the Saugeen Track and Field Club
- Registration with the Ontario Minor Track and Field Association
- Athlete Insurance
- Entry fees to all Cross Country Meets athletes compete in
- Coaching and Training in the sport on Cross Country Running
- STFC Junior Club T – Shirt
- Lots of FUN!!!!
The Junior Cross Country Program provides low-level
endurance and strength training. It is an introduction to the
Senior Cross-Country Program.
As with all Track Club programs, emphasis is on personal improvement
and fun.
This program is not just for long distance runners; sprinters
are welcome and can benefit greatly from the activities. At
this age athletes are encouraged to try many events instead
of specializing.
Senior Cross Country Running

The sessions run for two hours on Tuesday and Thursdays evenings.
This program is for athletes 13 – 50 years of age .
The registration fee includes the following:
The fee will be determined based on the athletes involvement
in the Program .
- Registration with the Saugeen Track and Field Club
- Registration with the Ontario Track and Field Association
- Athlete Insurance
- Entry fees to all Cross Country Meets athletes compete in
- Coaching and Training in the sport on Cross Country Running
- STFC Senior Club T – Shirt
- Lots of FUN!!!!
The Senior Cross Country Program provides high
level endurance and strength training.
The program is geared to athletes wishing to compete at the
Provincial / National level.
As with all Saugeen programs, the emphasis is on personal improvement
and fun.
This program is for distance runners.
